Kashmir Fruit and Vegetable Association Issues Advisory Amid Current Situation in the Valley

The Jammu and Kashmir Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Association, Parimpora Srinagar, has issued an important advisory to all traders, vendors, and stakeholders associated with the fruit and vegetable trade in light of the prevailing situation in the Valley.

In its official circular (No. NKFAC/Circular-02/24-25/1566), the Association has expressed concern over the potential challenges arising from the current circumstances, which could disrupt the normal functioning of the fruit and vegetable market. The advisory appeals to all members to exercise caution and ensure that fruits and vegetables are handled and transported with care.

The Association has specifically advised traders to avoid displaying or transporting goods in open areas unnecessarily and to adopt secure and covered means for both storage and movement. Members are urged to be vigilant and avoid any practices that may lead to wastage, damage, or loss of stock under the present conditions.

Furthermore, the Association has appealed for cooperation, unity, and discipline among the trading community, emphasizing that in such situations, collective responsibility is crucial to ensure smooth and uninterrupted supply to the public.

The General Secretary of the Association stated that efforts are being made to maintain normalcy within the market complex, and requested all members to act responsibly and follow the guidelines issued in the interest of both traders and consumers.
